Unfold the self-contained box to reveal a set of loose pages—topographical artworks that contain collaged headlines, legends, and personal accounts provided by members of the Narragansett Tribe, the Rhode Island Archeological Society, and the Providence Public Library.

Much as an archeologist would remove layers of earth, the viewer moves backward in time each time a page is removed. Small pages-within-pages provide detailed looks at areas where heightened activity takes place.
